Product Details
A corrugated box (technically called a corrugated fiberboard carton) is a highly durable, structured packaging container. It is engineered by sandwiching a wavy, arched paper layer (the fluted medium) between flat layers of paperboard (linerboards). This unique design makes corrugated boxes incredibly strong, shock-absorbent, and lightweight, which is why they are used to transport over 95% of all shipped goods.
* Types of Corrugated Board Thickness:- Depending on the level of protection needed, boxes are manufactured with different wall styles:
Single-Face: A single flat liner glued to one wavy medium, leaving the flutes exposed (often used as protective wraps inside boxes).
Single-Wall (3-Ply): One fluted medium glued between two flat liners. This is the most common style used for everyday e-commerce and retail shipping.
Double-Wall (5-Ply): Two layers of fluted medium separated by three liner sheets. These offer higher stacking strength for heavier household appliances or fragile items.
Triple-Wall (7-Ply): Three layers of fluting sandwiched between four linerboards. They are designed for industrial supplies, automotive parts, or electronics.
